The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 of 6

The Letter of St. Paul

to

the

Ephesians

Chapter

6

¹ Children, obey your parents in the LORD, for this is right.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 1)

Oh God my Father even though we are adults, in truth we are still little children, who as much as we need to respect our worldly parents, and not get rid of them in Residential Homes in order to get them in a nice way out of our lives.

We are to show them love, care and respect as much as we do to You Amen.

² Honor your father and mother"-this is the first commandment with a promise: ³ so that it may be well with you and you may live long on the earth."

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 2 to 3)

Oh God my heavenly Father, I thank You for my parents. Both have given me good skills and values according to their abilities. I thank You for my mother by whom You are giving me much support. I thank You for driving skills that my father had given to me for this is a very important skill in my everyday life Amen. I thank You for such precious people in my life Amen.

⁴ And, fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 4)

Oh God my Father this is not an easy task for many times emotions flare-up over reason and takes control. I have experienced this many times when intervening both with family and even clients, I pray that You give us more control over our sinful nature Amen.

⁵ Slaves obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as you obey Christ; ⁶ not only while being watched, and in order to please them, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 5 to 6)

Oh God my Father I proclaim myself as being Your slave, and that while pledging obedience to my earthly masters I pledge my obedience to You my God and Father Amen.

⁷ Render service with enthusiasm, as to the Lord and not to men and women, ⁸ knowing that whatever good we do, we will receive the same again from the Lord, whether we are slaves or free.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 7 to 8)

Oh God my Father throughout the course of life, I have learnt the hard way of doing everything for You and not to please humanity. I know that You bless and appreciate all that I do with Your help Amen.

⁹ And masters, do the same to them. Stop threatening them, for you know that both of you have the same Master in heaven, and with him there is no partiality.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 9)

Oh God my Father as a worker or employee I pray that we show respect and love for our employers even if at times we feel that they are asking too much of us. I pray that we do not look at them with disrespect but accept the fact that what they may be asking of us, may be according to Your will Amen and therefore we are to accomplish what we are asked of with joy and faith of the Spirit Amen.

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. ¹¹ Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 10 to 11)

Be strong brothers and sisters for the Lord and God and is with us. We do not need to be afraid for the Holy Spirit of God is closer to us than is our own skin. God is always present in our lives. we just need to call on to Him Amen.

¹² For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 12)

Oh God my Father, how true is this verse. Our struggle is against the forces of evil that try to persuade us to go against Your will and be disobedient to Your plan for us Amen. Please help us go against our sinful minds, thoughts and feelings. Make us new people of a spiritual nature Amen.

¹³ Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 13)

As we care for the body by taking medicines and vaccinations, we also need to care for the soul which is immortal meaning forever. I pray that we invest in our spiritual life Amen. Oh God my Father I pray that during my last hour I am found ready to appear before You Amen.

¹⁴ Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness. ¹⁵ As shoes for your feet put on whatever will make you ready to proclaim the gospel of peace.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 14 to 15)

Oh God, my Father, I thank You for all the means of spiritual and material protection that You have given us. I pray for Your all-round protection against all sources of evil Amen.

¹⁶ With all of these, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 16)

Oh, brothers and sisters, this time is indeed a time of war of good against evil, not of nuclear warfare but biological weapons such as deadly viruses. Our enemy is silent and deadly such as sin. We do not know from where the enemy will strike we, only know that like the coronavirus the enemy is there waiting for the right opportunity to infect us Amen.

¹⁷ Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 17)

Oh God, my Father, I thank You for giving me the armour of the Holy Spirit which consists of the Word of God, I live by it. I pray for a spirit of obedience to Your Word Amen.

¹⁸ Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 18)

Amen, my God and Father, I pray that You send Your Holy Spirit on me especially during such moments of prayer, so that what I upload is always in a spirit of prayer under Your control Amen.

¹⁹ Pray also for me, so that when I speak, a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, ²⁰ for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it boldly, as I must speak.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 19 to 20)

Oh God my Father every time I share these moments of prayers online with all who wish to reflect and grow in their relationship with You I am also applying such messages to my own spiritual life so that I can also keep on growing Amen.

²¹ So that you also may know how I am and what I am doing. Tychicus will tell you everything. He is a dear brother and a faithful minister in the Lord.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 21)

Oh friends brothers and sisters online and offline I am sharing such posts so that together we can continue growing in our relationship with God our Father. Whoever wishes to communicate with me personally may do so either on Facebook or send me an invitation on Skype and I will be more than welcome to speak about our relationship with God our Father.

²² I am sending him to you for this very purpose to let you know how we are, and to encourage your hearts.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 22)

Oh God my Father, if it is according to Your will I would like to start an online community where I can share with others my relationship with You so that together we can continue growing together. I pray that if this is according to Your will it may be done Amen.

²³ Peace be to the whole community and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. ²⁴ Grace be with all who have an undying love for our Lord Jesus Christ.

(The Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians Chapter 6 verse 23 to 24)

Oh Jesus Christ my Father I would also like to join the Apostle Paul in my wishes to all both online and offline. I would like to end this meditation on the sixth and final chapter of the Letter of St. Paul to the Ephesians with the following prayer.

May all love, faith and blessings be showered upon you all. May God be Your God and Your beloved Father. May You find a true committed and loving friend, who will always be there with you. God is only a prayer away from us. He is closer to us than is our own skin and bone.

                                                                  God bless all Amen!
